Dogs and Baths...

Our dogs love to get baths, well sometimes. They get jealous when the other one is in the tub, getting all of the attention. Here's what our dogs do during bath time every week. HAHA!!! Delilah being impatient...wanting to get into the bath. Delilah wanting it to be her turn. Waiting patiently now on top of the towels on the toilet. Samson getting a bath...not too thrilled about this mom! Delilah getting her bath, finally. All done with bath time. Samson has the same routine everytime. He has to roll around and drag his head and back on the ground to get the new, clean scent off of him. It's hillarious! After they are all clean, they love to put their sweaters on and stay nice and warm.

Been a while...

So I know it's been a couple of weeks. We have just been so busy with many things. Halloween, USC game, family birthdays, work, water polo practice, report card time, etc... I will be glad when next week is over and I have a full week off of work for Thanksgiving. I have so many things to be thankful for. God has truly blessed us in these last 2 1/2 years of marriage. How fast it has gone by too! We are so blessed to have a family that's so close and that we love to spend all of our time with, with a house that keeps us warm and protected (God did it all), 2 of the cutest dogs, that love us so much and we don't know what we would do without them either. (I can't wait until kids come, how much better that will be), awesome friends who are always there for us as well. The list could go on and on, but I would be typing forever and I should be finishing up with grading the essays my students wrote, since report cards are due on Friday afternoon. HAHAHA!!!

Just wanted to update everyone on where we have been and what we have done.

Trick or Treating with Jaiden, Heather's son.

Here we are at the USC Game. It was so much fun! They killed the Washington Huskies, 56-0. Can't wait to go to another game. David was in heaven!

Halloween Pumpkin Carving

Tonight Dave and I decided to carve our pumpkins since he will be working at night all week (mon.- thurs.) By the time he gets home, it's bedtime, so we decided to do it tonight. They turned out cute. LOL! We are definitely NOT professional pumpkin carvers, but we had fun doing it. I love carving pumpkins, but I always forget the horrific smell it brings when you first open up the top of the pumpkin. It was still fun.
Our pumpkins in the dark

We sure did have fun taking pictures and carving our pumpkins...

The dogs wanted to join in on the fun...

Have a great rest of the week and a safe Halloween.

Waiting on the Lord

So as some of you know or have read in the previous blogs I had been diagnosed with Grave's Disease. I took the radioactive iodine and now I feel great. I actually sleep through the entire night with no problems. I wake up feeling refreshed. No more black circles under my eyes (well, they are going away). Dry skin is not so bad anymore, and my hair isn't falling out as much. I'm so glad that God has taken care of me through all of this treatment. Now we just sit and wait until December 1st see if it all worked like it was supposed to and then I will be good to go. Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future." I know that the Lord is with me wherever and whatever I do in His name. Now I just continue to wait on Him, for He shall direct my path.

Waiting...

The doctor called today and I have an appointment to take radioactive iodine on Wednesday, October 8th of next week. So for now I just wait for the day to come where I have to drink liquid radioactive iodine and can't be around anyone for 3 days. I don't know what I'm gonna do. Probably just sleep for most of the time. Not sure if it will make me sick or not. I have no idea what to expect from this stuff. I'm so nervous about taking it, but I know God is watching out for me and all I can do is leave it in His hands and let Him take care of it all and take care of me. Please keep me in your prayers as I wait to take the radioactive iodine and for after, that it all goes well and that I don't need to take it again or do anything else.

I will keep you posted as I sit at home during those three days, since I can't talk to people or be at work.

Tough Week for me

Well...as some of you may know...I have been getting tested for my thyroid for the past 3-4 months. What a pain in the butt it has been, having to be patient and wait for the dr. to call and tell you to go get another test done, go have your blood drawn again, etc... It has been very frustrating. In the meantime, I was searching on the interent to find out about thyroid problems and was telling myself, oh it can't be the bad ones that I'm reading about, God won't let that happen to me. Well, little did I know God always knows best and gives you nothing more than you can handle. On Monday, I went to the dr. again, an endocrinologist to be exact this time, and I was told I have Graves Disease. (The one I had been saying, "Oh, I won't get that one.") God always has a mind of His own. LOL! the dr. told me I had one day to make a decision on what I was going to do. So, in a frantic, upset, crying voice, I called David and my mom and we decided what would be best for me. Now, I just wait for insurance to say it's okay to start and in about 1-2 weeks I will be taking radioactive iodine and then can't be around any human life form for about 5 days. No sleeping with David, no hugging or kissing him, can't eat on our kitchenware (have to use stuff that can be thrown away), and worst of all, I can't talk aloud to anybody. So, I will be on the internet, talking away to anyone that I possibly can or texting. So hit me up, when it all starts. (PLEASE!!!) Hopefully this fixes things, and then I will just be on a pill a day for the rest of my life to control my thyroid.

I am now okay with everything, just had a hard time at first accepting it from the Dr. and what I have to do after taking this stuff. Please be praying for me and David, since he will not get to hang out with his wife for a while.

Wii Fit!

Well my best friend picked up the Wii Fit for me and I am now officially obsessed. It's so much fun! Who would've have thought that a video game would actually be your personal trainer and help you loose weight. Well not I! Anyways...I hav a lot of fun working out right on my own T.V. David likes watching me...but only because I shake my but a million times when I do the hula hooping. HAHAHAHAHA!!!!Let's just hope that this really works for me cause I hate going to the gym to do aerobics and strength training. I'm gonna get back into swimming, but it's hard to get there everyday. So, if I can get to the gym 3 times a week and workout on my Wii everynight, I will be set to go.
